Kanga Care Acquires Grovia (Official Press Release)

Kanga Care LLC, the parent company of the award-winning Rumparooz One Size Cloth Diaper brand, is proud to announce its acquisition of GroVia, one of the most beloved names in modern cloth diapering. This strategic move brings together two pioneering brands with a shared commitment to sustainable parenting, industry innovation, and
supporting families around the globe.
Founded in Bozeman, Montana in 2011, GroVia has long been recognized for its thoughtfully designed diapering systems including its hybrid shell with eco-friendly disposable BioSoaker inserts, trim all-in-one diapers, and community-driven initiatives like GroVia Gives. Under the leadership of founder Kim Ormsby, GroVia became a trusted voice in the cloth diapering world, known for elevating ease of use, organic materials, and meaningful customer education.

Kanga Care, founded by inventor and CEO Julie Ekstrom, launched in 2007 with the debut of the Rumparooz One Size Cloth Diaper, the first to feature patented dual inner gusset technology for superior leak protection. This groundbreaking design earned Ekstrom four U.S. patents and played a revolutionary role in shaping the future of modern cloth diapering - influencing product development across the industry. From humble beginnings at a kitchen table to becoming a globally recognized brand, Kanga Care has earned accolades for product quality, durability, and continued innovation, including licensing its gusset technology to other leading brands in the category.

This union ensures continued care for existing GroVia customers while creating opportunities to breathe new life into customer-favorite styles. Kanga Care will manage GroVia’s brand assets, intellectual property, and product archives, with plans to reintroduce select designs, prints, and accessories in the near future.

The acquisition is effective immediately. For customers, retailers, and fans of either brand, more details including product re-releases and launch timelines will be shared in the coming weeks.
