Canada Post Strike 2024 - Shipping Updates & What We're Doing For Packages

Well, as you might have heard on the news, Canada Post went on strike yesterday, Nov. 15, 2024, and at this time there is no postal service via Canada Post.

Currently our shipping service to customers uses couriers - that means NO INTERRUPTION of our shipping service to urban addresses in Canada or USA.

However, Canada Post is the only service in Canada that can deliver to PO Boxes and some rural addresses. This means that:
1) Packages that were on-route to PO Box or rural addresses at the time of the strike will be stuck in the Canada Post system until they begin to work again.
2) New orders to PO box or rural addresses placed from Nov. 15, 2024 onward will be packed and ready to go on our side, but won't start moving until Canada Post is back.

The good news is that Canada Post is classified as an essential service, which allows the federal government to introduce legislation if it wants to in order to end a work stoppage. So hopefully the strike will be short with a satisfactory resolution for both sides, especially in this busy shipping season.

The last time there was a Canada Post strike was in 2018 where workers were mandated back to work when the Federal Government passed Bill C-89.

As a small business that relies on the postal service and courier services, we've gone through 2 postal strikes before (2011 & 2018) and this will be our third, so never fear, we know what to do. Most of our orders shouldn't be affected heading to urban addresses, although packages may be slightly delayed because of the volume of packages now diverting from Canada Post. If you are a PO Box or rural address please bear with Canada Post as they navigate a new agreement and as soon as they do your packages will be the first out our door.

Luckily, our product restock deliveries should arrive without issue as most are arriving by courier.

I really appreciate your patience and continued orders as a small business owner despite shipping delays beyond our control.  We rely on your orders to keep us afloat and very much appreciate your support so we can continue to provide top quality products from a family first business.
